"You'll Never See Me Again" was one of 3 collaborations between Adele and Fraser T Smith for Adele's sophomore attempt, 21. Assumed to have been written about the same ex-boyfriend who inspired the majority of the record, the song was ultimately cutting from 21. Some fans accept speculated that elements of the song were incorporated into the sonically like "Set Fire to the Rain," Smith'due south sole contribution to the anthology'south final cut.

On August 31, 2014, a snippet of the song leaked online.[1] It was the first new music from Adele since she released "Skyfall" in 2012.
